M.Arch (PM)
The objective of the M. Arch (Project Management) course is to understand large-scale projects, learn viable project management concepts, develop effective implementation strategies, evaluate project performance, collaborate with different stakeholders, and build research and innovative skills in the field.
The four-semester course is a journey that begins with building foundational knowledge, moves on to gaining supporting knowledge and developing core professional skills and culminates in acquiring practical application skills.
First semester introduces the student to the basics of project management like understanding the management principles to planning, implementing and monitoring a project which are required to understand, learn and apply the advanced concepts in project management.
Second semester focusses on allied subjects like material management, computer applications, construction techniques and human resource management. They provide extra knowledge that help in planning, coordinating, and executing projects more effectively and efficiently.
The third semester emphasizes on the core professional skills a student should have which equip them with essential knowledge in communication, planning, legal understanding, and financial management to handle projects effectively in real-world situations.
The fourth semester places students in real project scenarios where they apply all the knowledge and skills gained earlier to manage projects effectively.
