Shabbir Shakir introduces himself as a young architect engaged to a global society. He believes in the power of architecture as a medium of change in society. He supports sustainable architecture over spectacular structures but value the role of innovation. He believes one can express social and cultural values of people through architectural creations

Graduated in the year of 2012 from Rizvi College of Architecture, He has a professional experience of more than a decade in the Industry. He has completed his Post graduation in Environmental Architecture and practices Green and Sustainable architecture and interiors

He is the founder and Principal Architect at Green Edge Design Studio and has worked on multiple Architectural Projects in various states of India. He has specialized in sustainable interiors designing and Luxury interiors and has worked on numerous project in and around Mumbai.

He is currently associated with Rizvi College of Architecture as an Associate Professor. He has special interest in technical subjects and building technology. He uses his expertise from the industry and bring them to teaching to make student market ready. He has been awarded with MASA best teacher’s award for Construction Technology in the year 2020.

Technical Subjects are not mere topics in the curriculum, but it is a tool which gives certain value and statistics that transforms the design ideas and make them structurally functional and viable. Having keen interest in technical subjects, he focuses on horizontal and vertical integration and connects technical subjects with design problems so that the students have practical approach towards design. He not only makes the students understand the topic theoretically but encourages them to apply the knowledge in the design problem for better understanding
